The augmented reality mobile game Pokemon GO has been around for nearly six years, and it still has a strong. Niantic and The Pokemon Company have utilized the popularity of the mobile game well, even going as far as to cross it over with the Pokemon Trading Card Game. As of June 2022, there are over 730 Pokemon currently in the game, with the current National Pokedex tally standing at 898 - up to those from Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Pokemon GO recently began rolling out more creatures from the Alola region, with more being released during Pokemon GO Fest 2022. Although the game has released plenty of fan-favorite Pokemon so far across eight generations, there are still plenty of monsters that are missing from the roster.
Gen 3: Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald
Despite the region's first members being introduced back in 2017, there is still one Pokemon missing from the Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald collection. Considered one of the most illusive Pokemon from Generation 3, the chameleon Pokemon Kecleon is still missing in Pokemon GO.

Gen 4: Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum
There are three Pokemon missing from Generation 4, with Shaymin becoming the most recent release. Shaymin's Land Forme became available through the Pokemon GO Fest 2022 paid special research in early June. Niantic has also announced that its Sky Forme will become available through paid Special Research for Pokemon GO Fest 2022 starting July 1, but just a few others are still unavailable in any form.

- #571: Zoroark
- #636: Larvesta
- #637: Volcarona
Gen 6: Pokemon X and Y
Pokemon X and Y launched with a total of 72 new Pokemon being introduced to the ever-expanding Pokedex - bringing the known total from 649 to 721. Although Generation 6 was first properly introduced to Pokemon GO at the end of 2020, there are still 17 total Pokemon missing from the overall roster.
