After three months of build up, the epic conclusion to Pokemon GO’s Season of Mischief has finally arrived. Over the next few days trainers will be able to complete a a Special Research storyline to unlock some powerful rewards, including the ability to change Hoopa’s form.

Gaining access to the Special Research is a little special this time around. Players who completed the long list of prerequisite tasks earlier this season will unlock access to the new storyline automatically, but Pokemon GO trainers who did not will have to special about $5 on a catch up ticket.

Once players have access to the Special Research, working through the three parts shouldn’t be all that challenging at all really. Players will need to be willing to complete multiple raids, use some incense, and catch a lot of Pokemon over the long weekend, but none of the tasks are very technically difficult...

Mischief Unbound Part 1

Take a snapshot of Hoopa — 1000 Stardust

Catch 20 Pokémon — 1x Lucky Egg

Spin 3 PokéStops or Gyms — 3000 XP

Rewards: 1x Incense, 1x Puffin, 3x Golden Razz Berry

Mischief Unbound Part 2

Make 7 Curveball Throws in a row — 1500 Stardust

Use 20 Berries to help catch Pokémon — 1x Star Piece

Complete 10 Field Research Tasks — 3000 XP

Rewards: 1x Incense, 1x Special Incubator, 3x Silver Pinap Berry

Mischief Unbound Part 3

Earn 7 hearts with your Buddy — 2000 Stardust

Catch 20 different species of Pokémon — 3x Raid Pass

Win 3 raids — 4000 XP

Rewards: 50x Hoopa Candy, 10000 Stardust, Hoopa T-Shirt

Hoopa Form changing mechanics

Changing Hoopa’s form from Hoopa Confined to Hoopa Unbound requires 50 Hoopa Candy and 10,000 Stardust.

Changing Hoopa’s form from Hoopa Unbound to Hoopa Confined requires 10 Hoopa Candy and 2,000 Stardust.
