Pokemon GO players who are powering through the Special Research quest line may already be finding and catching Mew. Although adding the super rare monster to the pokedex should be exciting enough, many players still want to make sure that their Mew is as perfect as possible. That means the hunt for a 100% IV Mew is officially underway for many players.

Getting a 100% IV spawn of any monster in Pokemon GO requires a lot of luck, but the odds are even tougher for Mew, considering the restricted spawn. Players who are seriously on the hunt want to make sure that they know a perfect Mew when they see one, so it's pretty normal to memorize the CP values, so that the IV can be calculated more quickly.

Here is a look at the numbers, for players who want to see if their copy is 100% IV without using an IV calculator...

That's a ton of numbers to memorize, so most players usually just try to remember the cut off point for all the values that are greater than 95% or something in that range. That means, if a Mew is level 15 and at CP 1318 or higher then players can be pretty confident that it is 93%+. 1321 takes that up to an impressive 97.8% and 1324 is the perfect 100% IV.

Chasing perfect IVs can be a frustrating task and certainly isn't for everyone. That said, it is a fun little challenge for the most hardcore players to tackle after they've completed just about everything else. If that sounds a little too crazy, maybe just start by mastering all of the field research quests.
