Pokemon GO's upcoming GO Beyond update is ushering in a new era for the mobile AR game. Along with a new max level cap and the release of a new generation of Pokemon in the mobile AR game, there will also be new features, challenges, and bonuses for players of all levels to enjoy in the coming months.

The Season of Celebration kicks off the GO Beyond update at the start of December and, along with the rest of the features that come along with that three month long season, there will be some new medals medals for Pokemon GO players to chase down and earn throughout the end of 2020 and into 2021.

To start, the GO Beyond update is adding four new medals that focus on Raids, 7-day streaks, lure module catches, and visiting unique Pokestops. The lower levels of those badges should fill up very quickly for the average player, but getting to the highest tier will likely take some deliberate work.

In addition to the new medals, there is also a new Platinum tier for each existing medal. This means many players will have a brand new list of challenges that they want to complete in order to unlock all of the new medals and earn the associated catch bonus reward...

As trainers continue working through these amazing events and waiting for the GO Beyond update to officially arrive, they may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters and completing their Pokedex is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
