Pokemon GO players now have February's Community Day event in the rearview mirror, which means it is time to start speculating about which Pokemon will get the spotlight next month. Although there used to be a fairly predictable pattern to Community Day features, the last few months have switched things up and left players guessing (or voting) on which creature would own the day.

March's Pokemon GO event doesn't seem like it is going to using the voting mechanic like February, but Niantic is starting to drop hints about which Pokemon will be featured. A recent tweet from the official Pokemon GO account features an image and an emoji that has left players with a pretty strong hunch about the theme of March's big Community Day event.

The consensus from Pokemon GO fans seems to be that this hint is pointing towards an Abra-themed Community Day event. The purple background text and emoji both seem to point towards a Psychic-themed Pokemon and Abra would definitely be the most popular choice. If this ends up being the case, the event will make one of the most rare shiny Pokemon in Pokemon GO a lot less special.

A shiny version of Abra was released accidentally for just an hour during an in-person event a while back, which means a very small percentage of people have the currently unobtainable shiny psychic-type. Although a few of those people may be sad that their prized possession is about to become super common, the rest of the Pokemon GO community is likely very excited about the prospect of an Abra-themed day. Abra's evolutions are relevant for both the PvE and PvP scene and the Pokemon just happens to be a fan favorite.
