The first week of February is moving right along and Pokemon GO players have been very busy chasing down new Field Research, battling the Johto Beast trio in Raids, and preparing for this month's events. More details about next week's Lunar New Year event are now arriving, which means players can start to prepare to take advantage of everything that annual event has to offer.

This time around, the Pokemon GO Lunar New Year event is going to once again put the spotlight on red Pokemon, but that isn't the only bonus or feature. There are some exciting limited time Battle Raid bosses showing up, new Egg hatches, and even some special Friendship and Gift bonuses for players to keep an eye on.

The event kicks off next Tuesday, February 9, so players still have some time to prepare for the event. Trainers may want to spend some time hatching all of their current Eggs and clearing out some Gift space in their inventory in the days just before the event festivities get started...
