Pokemon GO trainers had an interesting surprise last time when Lugia made an unexpected appearance in some Legendary Battle Raids. Players started noticing the pokemon hatch from level 5 eggs late yesterday evening and thought Niantic had a surprise Pokemon GO event in store for them. As it turns out, the reality was a little less exciting.

It seems that Lugia's return to Pokemon GO was simply a mistake. The level 5 spawns have since been adjusted and Lugia is once again removed from the Battle Raid list. Although it is disappointing to see Lugia leave, players do have some other exciting Battle Raid opportunities to hunt down.

Here's a look at the updated list of currently available Battle Raids, now that the fighting event is over and Lugia has been removed...

Players in the Latias half of the world are in for quite a challenge during the next few weeks as they adjust from battling Latios to Latias. Be sure to consider these important Latios/Latias differences before deciding on your roster for Latias fights.
