January is here and Pokemon GO trainers have a ton of activities to stay busy as the cold settles in. The second month of the Season of Heritage is now underway and there will be some exciting returning tasks and new challenges to help accompany an exciting January events calendar that players can work through over the coming weeks.

The January 2022 cycle of daily Field Tasks and rewards for Pokemon GO players is live now and trainers can already start completing the minor challenges and earning their daily stamps. Some Season-long Field Tasks are back from last month, but there are a lot of exciting additions in January and some new encounter rewards to get players motivated. Trainers who are aware of which tasks are available and what rewards are associated with them can help prioritize tasks and decide which ones to drop and which ones to complete in a hurry.

The January 2022 field research tasks are available today through February 1 and trainers can start picking them up at Pokestops to power through the simple challenges and earn their daily stamps and the associated rewards. There are some decent rewards up for grabs in the new year, so trainers should have plenty of motivation to continue completing tasks even after they've earned their daily stamp towards the January Research Breakthrough.
