The popular mobile game, Pokemon GO, celebrated its one year anniversary earlier this month, bringing with it new events, rewards, and the inclusion of legendary Pokemon such as Articuno and Lugia. Even though the mobile game has been available for a year, it seems there are still a few tricks and tips that are being discovered.

While it's not necessarily a new feature to the game, finding a list of captured Pokemon that are ready to be evolved isn't something that's well advertised within Pokemon GO. It's a handy skill that takes a lot of the guess work out of figuring out which creature is ready to take the next step. For players that have a large stable of Pokemon, it will also cut way down on the search time as well.

As it turns out, the search bar is a pretty powerful tool in game. Simply typing evolve will bring up a complete list of all the player Pokemon that have enough Rare Candy to evolve.

Thanks to DiDiSiMpLucifer, players can actually take things a step further with the search bar. When evolve and a number are added, the game will display any Pokemon that can be evolved with that corresponding Pokedex number. For example, if the player enters "evolve 1,2,3" the game will interpret that to show any Pokemon that can be evolved with Pokedex numbers 1, 2, and 3.

Outside of evolving creatures, the search bar also allows searches based on Pokemon types, and even a range of CP or HP levels as well. Keep in mind that this functionality is localized, so terms entered into the search bar need to match the language set in the game.

With legendary raids now available to players, this technique should prove to be a very valuable tool. Not only does the search bar help players quickly search through lists of all captured Pokemon, but it will help ensure that their Pokemon are fully evolved and leveled before taking on the likes of Articuno and Lugia.

Pokemon GO is available now on iOS and Android.
