Pokemon GO’s October Community Day is just a few short days away, which means players have Beldum on the brain. This weekend Pokemon GO players will have three hours to catch as many of the Gen 3 creature as possible and expand their collection with shiny spawns, evolutions, and hopefully a few more surprises.
The basic idea of Community Day is pretty simple: Go out and catch a ton of pokemon for three hours, but this time around things are different. For players who need a little more direction than that, we’ve put together a comprehensive guide full of all the intel you need for the big day.

Bonuses
Lures will last for three hours during the event.
Regular incubators will offer 1/4 egg hatch distance bonuses and super incubators will offer 1/6 egg hatch distance bonuses. That makes this a great opportunity to fly through a bunch of eggs and hatch some new Gen 4 creatures.
Limited Time Field Research
Recent updates to the game’s code suggest that this Community Day, like last month’s, will temporarily offer special Field Research tasks that put an emphasis on the featured Pokemon. Be sure to claim your rewards and clear out a space for these quests if you want to see them.
Shiny Variant
Niantic usually doesn’t confirm the shiny chance until after the event has started, but keep an eye out for shiny Beldum while hunting. They’ve been a part of every other Community Day event, so we fully expect to see them on Saturday.
