Pokemon GO's Luminous Legends X event added a number of Pokemon from the Kalos region to the game, one of which is Spritzee. Upon catching this Fairy-type Pokemon, some fans may become interested in evolving it into Aromatisse, and indeed it is possible to do so. However, the way to evolve Spritzee in Pokemon GO may not be immediately obvious to all players, and this guide is here to provide full details on the process.
To start, fans that want to evolve a Spritzee must first make it their Buddy in Pokemon GO. This is done by pressing on the Buddy portrait at the bottom-left corner of the screen, scrolling down to select "Swap Buddies," and then picking the relevant Spritzee. Notably, players should take a bit of care when they are selecting the Spritzee that will be their Buddy, or they may accidentally evolve the wrong Pokemon.
At this point, players need to use either an Incense or Mystery Box in PoGO to unlock the ability to evolve the Spritzee. For the uninitiated, Incense can be purchased from the in-game shop for 80 PokeCoins, and it is occasionally granted as a reward for completing Special Research tasks. And with respect to the Mystery Box, it can be obtained by setting up Pokemon Home, linking it to a player's Pokemon GO account, and then transferring a Pokemon from GO to Home.
After activating an Incense or Mystery Box, fans should now find that the "Evolve" buttons in their Spritzees' profiles are no longer grey, and all that is left to do is to use 50 Spritzee Candy to perform the transformation. For full clarity, the requisite number of Candy can be obtained by catching Spritzee en masse, and now is the perfect time to do that. This is because the Pokemon has an increased spawn rate during the ongoing Luminous Legends X event in Pokemon GO, making it much easier to find.
To note, some PoGO players currently report that they are still unable to evolve Spritzee into Aromatisse even after following the steps outlined above. Unfortunately, it appears that this may be a bug, and there is no know workaround at the time of writing. If this ultimately does turn out to be a bug, then hopefully developer Niantic will address it promptly, though fans should confirm that they have made Spritzee their Buddy before using the Incense of Mystery Box, and that they are trying to evolve the right one, for the time being.
