Rising Heroes, Pokemon GO’s 10th Season, introduces a new evolution currency: Gimmighoul Coins. And with that, Niantic also added a brand-new Module called the Golden Lure. Gimmighoul requires Gimmighoul Coins to evolve, and players need Golden Lure Modules to earn the Coins. This guide explains how to find a Golden Lure Module with simple steps.

In Pokemon GO, the Golden Lure Module is a PokeStop component that turns any Stop into gold. When activated, the Golden Module rewards players with Gimmighoul Coins for each Photo Disc spin. It also increases the chance of encountering Roaming Form Gimmighoul.

How to Get a Golden Lure Module?

To get a Golden Lure Module, send five Postcards from Pokemon GO to a Pokémon Scarlet or Violet file on Nintendo Switch. The Module is a 5th-day bonus rewarded to Trainers who gift multiple Postcards to a Pokemon Scarlet or Violet player.

To send a Postcard from Pokemon GO to Scarlet or Violet accounts, select “Pair with Pokemon GO” in the Mystery Gift menu at the Poke Portal. Then tap on Nintendo Switch in Pokemon GO’s Devices and Services Setting. Once the two games are paired, share the Postcard from the Items menu.

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Head to Pokemon GO’s Settings.
  2. Select Connected Devices and Services.
  3. Tap Nintendo Switch and then Pokemon Scarlet or Violet.
  4. Open the Poke Portal in Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet.
  5. Select Mystery Gift and then Connect to Pokemon GO.
  6. Click Pair with Pokemon GO and confirm.
  7. Share a Postcard with the paired account.
  8. Finally, reopen the Mystery Gift menu and select “Connect to Pokemon GO” to receive the Postcard.

Note that the connectivity function requires both Pokemon games’ latest updates. And it only works once per day. Send five Postcards to a Nintendo Switch to receive a Golden Lure Module.

How to Use the Golden Lure Module

Drag and drop a Golden Lure Module on a PokStop to activate it. When the Module is on, spin the Photo Disc every five minutes for prizes. Basically, the lure turns the Stop into a Gimmighoul Coin vending machine for 30 minutes.

Things to know about using the Golden Lure Module:

  • Gimmighoul Coins in a Golden PokeStop are intervals of five.
  • The most a player can spin a Golden Lure Module is six times.
  • The Golden Lure Modules are not stackable.
  • The Module spawns wild Pokemon, not Shiny ones.
  • Festival of Colors does not affect the Golden Lure Module. It still works for 30 minutes throughout the event, not three hours.
  • Trainers can spin the Golden PokeStops of other players to earn Gimmighoul Coins.

Pokemon GO and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for mobile devices and Nintendo Switch.
