The second part of Pokemon GO’s Halloween Mischief event has begun, and it features a brand new batch of Field Research for players to complete. Engaging with this event-exclusive Field Research is a great way to encounter Pokemon like Halloween Mischief Pikachu and Halloween Mischief Piplup, which is undoubtedly something that many fans will want to do. For those players that would like to learn more about Pokemon GO’s Halloween Mischief Part 2 Field Research, a list of its tasks and rewards can be found in this guide.

Before getting into that list, though, it is worth mentioning that some players have reported that they are still receiving a task from the PoGO Halloween Mischief Part 1 Field Research. Specifically, it is the task that sends fans to catch 15 Ghost-type Pokemon, and the reward is an encounter with Halloween Mischief Drifblim. That said, it has not been possible to confirm the availability of this task definitively, and it must be exceedingly rare if it is actually in-game currently.

Pokemon GO Halloween Mischief Part 2: Ghoulish Pals - Field Research Tasks and Rewards

  • Catch 5 Ghost-type Pokemon (Halloween Mischief Pikachu Encounter, Halloween Mischief Piplup Encounter)
  • Catch 25 Ghost-type Pokemon (Galarian Yamask Encounter)
  • Make 3 Curveball Throws (Spinarak Encounter)
  • Spin 3 Poke Stops or Gyms (Spinarak Encounter)
  • Spin 7 Poke Stops or Gyms (1 Rare Candy)
  • Transfer 5 Pokemon (Shuppet Encounter, Duskull Encounter, Ghastly Encounter)
  • Win a Raid (Yamask Encounter, Galarian Yamask Encounter)

Considering that the second part of PoGO’s Halloween Mischief event is focused on Ghost-type Pokemon, it is not surprising to see that a couple of these Field Research tasks instruct fans to catch them. Fortunately, a number of Ghost-types, such as Yamask, Phantump, and Pumpkaboo, are appearing in Raids for the event, as that should make those tasks slightly easier to complete. Additionally, fans can earn an encounter with a Ghost-type through the “transfer 5 Pokemon” task, which should help matters further.

Pokemon GO players will also catch some Ghost-type Pokemon while working on the Pumpkaboo Collection Challenge, which is another activity in the Ghoulish Pals event. Indeed, fans will need to collect Pumpkaboos of four different sizes before everything is said and done, and they will thus walk away from the challenge having caught at least four Ghost-types. While this may seem like a drop in the bucket next to the 25 Ghost-type Pokemon that must be apprehended for one of the aforementioned challenges, the ability to overlap tasks is nice nonetheless.

Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS devices.
