Pokemon GO has gotten into the habit of keeping fans entertained by running events back-to-back, and fans are reaping the benefits. Throughout much of October, fans have already enjoyed the first part of the Halloween Mischief event, which celebrates creepy and spooky Pokemon of various kinds. For the entire duration of Halloween Mischief, Pokemon GO fans are earning extra candy for everything from catching Pokemon to walking with a buddy. There's a lot more to the event than extra candy, though. Part 1 of Halloween Mischief celebrated Poison-type and Psychic-type Pokemon, while Part 2 leans into Halloween spookiness by bringing new Ghost-types to Pokemon GO.

It's no surprise that the Halloween event puts Ghost-types in the spotlight, but even so, it's very exciting that new Ghost-types from the Kalos region are joining Pokemon GO. These new Pokemon are only one small part of a much broader event, however. There's some spooky Dark-type Pokemon appearing in Pokemon GO Raids right now, and a number of other Ghost-types and Dark-types will be available in the wild in greater numbers than usual. Fans of these kinds of Pokemon had better jump on this Pokemon GO even sooner rather than later because there are only a few days of Halloween Mischief Part 2 left.

Pokemon GO: Halloween Mischief Part 2 in Summary

The new Pokemon joining Pokemon GO during Halloween Mischief are Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist, Phantump, and Trevenant, a series of Ghost/Grass Pokemon that first appeared in Pokemon X and Y. The event puts a particular on emphasis on Pumpkaboo, the Pumpkin Pokemon. It comes in four different sizes that are visibly distinct for the first time in Pokemon GO. If players can collect all four sizes of Pumpkaboo before the end of Halloween Mischief Part 2, they can earn some Rare Candy.

Alongside Pumpkaboo and Phantump, there's a considerable list of Pokemon appearing frequently in the wild right now: Gastly, Murkrow, Shuppet, Purrloin, and Misdreavus are out in droves. Fans should also keep an eye out for rarer encounters with Haunter, Litwick, and Yamask. On top of these, there's a costumed Pikachu and Piplup on the loose for fans of dressed-up event Pokemon. Fans looking for even more Pokemon variety should do their best to hatch eggs during Halloween Mischief Part 2 because those are offering a special roster of Pokemon too. During the event, Eggs will produce Galarian Yamask and Gollet aside from Misdreavus, Shuppet, Litwick, Phantump, and Pumpkaboo.

As always, a Pokemon GO event means Raids are modified too. Fans of Mega Evolutions can battle a Mega Absol for the first time, expanding the presence of Mega Evolutions in Pokemon GO. As for a Legendary Pokemon, a Darkrai that knows Sludge Bomb is appearing in five-star Raids to celebrate the Halloween season, offering a rare opportunity to catch this Dark-type Pokemon. Aside from these top-tier Raids, Gyms will also include one-star Raids for Phantump, Pumpkaboo, Murkrow, Yamask, and Galarian Yamask, as well as three-star Raids for Banette, Lambent, Alolan Marowak, and a special event Drifblim in a charming costume.

Perhaps the most important thing to know about Halloween Mischief Part 2 is that it'll be ending pretty soon. The event only runs until 8:00 PM local time on October 31st, meaning Halloween itself will be fans' last chance to take advantage of Halloween Mischief's special features. There's still time to complete the Pumpkaboo Collection Challenge, but players who haven't kept tabs on the event should start their Pumpkaboo search right away. All in all, Halloween Mischief has been a great way to take advantage of the Halloween season, introducing some adorable Pokemon and celebrating the franchise's spookier types. Halloween Mischief may be nearly over, but knowing Pokemon GO, there are plenty more events just around the corner.
