As predicted this morning, details about the Pokemon GO Halloween event have arrived and players are going to have a ton of exciting content to dig into. From spooky spawns to costumes to a new Raid Boss; this event has it all.

Pokemon GO's 2018 Halloween event is going to use Special Research to guide players through a new chain of story quests while they hunt down some brand new Ghost-types like Drifloon and Stunky. The event kicks off this afternoon at 1pm and will run through November 1.

Here's a look at some of the official details...

"Pokémon GO Halloween is back for a spooky good time! Ghost-type and Dark-type Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region, such as Drifloon and Stunky, join in on the fun, which begins on October 23 at 1:00 p.m. PDT! And, because you can’t have tricks without any treats, Trainers will be able to earn double Candy for every Pokémon caught until November 1 at 1:00 p.m. PDT."

Double Candy is always an exciting bonus, so players will definitely be out in full force for the next week or so trying to get as much value out of the event as possible. In addition to the special spawns, the event has a lot of other excitement to offer, as well...

"... The Renegade Pokémon, Giratina, will make its first appearance in Raid Battles! This Ghost- and Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region has emerged from the Distortion World for an extended time, so challenge it before it leaves on November 20 at 1:00 p.m. PST!"

The appearance of Giratina was predicted after its menacing figure appeared at the end of the Gen 4 trailer, so players have already started preparing the best battle parties to face off against it.

Be sure to check back throughout the week to see if any additional details arrive about the event. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
