In one of the stranger crossovers of the year, it seems like Pokemon GO is about to get a few new partners to collaborate with in the coming weeks. A cryptic tweet from Gucci (yes, the designer clothing company) offered a small tease that something is on the way that ties together Pokemon GO and The North Face x Gucci campaign.

The tweet went out yesterday from the Gucci account and included a photo of a campsite in the woods with a flag waving the Pokemon GO logo. There weren't any other details, aside from the hashtag for The North Face x Gucci campaign, which seems to be a clothing and outdoor equipment line featuring some designs inspired by 70s throwback fashion.

There weren't any details about how Pokemon GO actually connects to any of this, but fans have seen some similar PoGO cross promotions with companies like this is the past. If those have been any indication, there will likely be some new clothing and backpack items inspired by The North Face x Gucci line coming to the game's shop. That has not been confirmed by any of the companies involved, but is currently a popular guess from PoGO fans.

So far, no dates or firm details have been confirmed for the crossover, so fans should keep an eye out for updates in the comings days or weeks. The tweet only promised "coming soon" so there aren't any concrete answers to be found there. At this point, there's no indication of whether the crossover will kick off before or after the Christmas and New Year holidays, so fans should just keep an eye out for an official announcement to learn more.

Until that announcement arrives, PoGO trainers still have plenty to stay busy with throughout the rest of December and the early days of January. The current holiday event is full of special spawns and bonuses, a New Year's event was just announced, and January looks like it is going to be jam-packed with special events and new Battle Raid bosses to keep players busy throughout the first days of 2021.

As trainers continue working through these amazing events and enjoying the early days of the GO Beyond update, they may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters and completing their Pokedex is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is available on Android and iOS.
