Between GO Fest, Anniversary celebrations, and constantly rotating Raid Bosses; Pokemon GO is having a very busy summer. Trainers have a ton to do in the game and events and special activities are coming and going so quickly it's easy to lose track of them. Today's excitement brings another Legendary Raid Hour - this time with the focus on the powerful ground-Type Pokemon Groudon.

Groudon has been around before, but the creature is very relevant in the PvE metagame, so trainers can always use another chance to get a higher IV catch. Groudon is currently the tier 5 boss, now that Kyogre has rotated out, and tonight there will be an hour long window when Pokemon GO players have lots of extra chances to battle the boss.

The Legendary Raid Hour takes place between 6:00 and 7:00pm local time. That means that wherever you are, a Level 5 egg will spawn at just about every Gym in the area at 5:40pm. Trainers should group up and plan to take advantage of this special opportunity to battle a bunch of tier 5 raids in a row (don't forget to bring your best Groudon counters).

The Legendary Raid Hours are special events meant to offer a chance for busy players to take on multiple raids at a time that they can plan ahead for. The events usually take place over the lunch hour or at 6:00pm. Lately, the evening events seem to be hosted much more frequently than the Legendary Lunch Hours.

Be sure to check back in the coming days for more Pokemon GO news, updates, and strategy guides. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
