As many may agree, one of the main reasons as to why Pokemon GO has been such a worldwide success is due to the fact that the mobile augmented reality game from Niantic manages to appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds. There are even some who started playing casually, only to become incredibly dedicated PoGO Trainers. As a matter of fact, one elderly man from Taiwan has become so committed to the title that he now plays the game with 21 different phones at the same time.

Affectionately dubbed by the Internet as Pokemon Grandpa, Chen San-yuan of Taipei, Taiwan initially began playing the game with just one phone, but then started using three phones after a short while. His method of three phones eventually evolved into using 15 cell phones at once, and now he has further expanded his quest to be the very best like no one ever was by upgrading the rig on the front of his bike to 21 phones.

One of the reasons why Chen San-yuan uses so many different phones and separate Pokemon GO accounts is to help him progress through the game faster and have a higher chance at obtaining the title's rare creatures. It has been previously reported that he will play the game about six to seven hours per day, and sometimes plays it through the night thanks to custom battery packs that allow him to recharge the phones.

There's no doubt that this is an expensive endeavor. Not only did Chen San-yuan have to spend money on acquiring the actual mobile devices themselves to play Pokemon GO, but also he has previously admitted to dropping a lot of coin on microtransactions. Nevertheless, he seems to be enjoying himself thoroughly.

All things considered, it will be interesting to see if Chen San-yuan goes on to add even more phones to his bike while playing Pokemon GO, but if he does, there could come a point where it begins to get too top-heavy. While that remains to be seen, hopefully he continues to have a good time with the game and will have a positive experience during March 2019's Community Day, which occurs next weekend.

Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS devices.
