Pokemon GO players in Yokohama are currently busy participating in the exciting GO Fest event. Players are celebrating by collecting new shiny creatures, every Pikachu hat, and tons more. Trainers around the globe don't need to feel totally left out though, thanks to some special Global Research Tasks.
The ongoing GO Fest event is sharing some of the fun by adding five new Research Tasks to the existing list of August 2019 quests to complete. The tasks aren't too challenging and actually offer Pokemon GO players some fairly exciting rewards, which should help motivate players around the world to login and help the community reach the global challenges and unlock the special rewards.
Although most of the five reward encounters aren't for incredibly meta relevant Pokemon, each of them does have the potential to be shiny. This added bonus is sure to make the tasks extra popular and completionists won't want to miss this opportunity for a chance to add more shiny Pokemon to their collection.
None of these tasks are particularly challenging or even warrant much of a guide. Players should have plenty of practice making consecutive Great Throws at this point, but just be sure to find some oversized Pokemon if not. Evolving three Pokemon can take up some precious resources, but players should have lots of Pidgey candy around to spare for those sort of quests.
Collecting shiny Pokemon doesn’t give the trainer any kind of advantage in battle, but it is still a fun additional challenge to add into the game. Shiny Pokemon are perfect for leaving in Gyms to show off to the rest of the community.
Be sure to check back in the near future more more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
