Pokemon GO's big anniversary event is still a few weeks away, but Niantic isn't wasting any time building up hype for the big two-day GO Fest 2020 celebration. In addition to dropping a new commercial directed by the creator of Knives Out, Niantic also released a new promo image this afternoon that is full of some exciting hints about the coming weeks.

Although the press release didn't mention any new details about GO Fest spawns, Battle Raid bosses, or challenge rewards; there was a very exciting image included in the release that is full of some exciting teasers. At this point, trainers are hoping all of these Pokemon will be appearing as part of GO Fest, but Niantic has not confirmed that. It's also possible that the company is just teasing Pokemon who will be arriving in the Pokemon GO's fourth year and not necessarily during the GO Fest event itself.

That said, there's still some very exciting stuff to unpack here. First off, fans of Gen 6 regions will be happy to find out that the promo image does include all three starters from Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. This likely means that by the end of GO Fest 2020 players will have added Fennekin, Chespin, and Froakie to their Pokedex. Those are the only new Pokemon making an appearance on the promo art though...

In addition to the Gen 6 starters, the image also includes the first look at some PoGO mega evolutions that are likely arriving during the GO Fest event and a surprise appearance by Victini. If all of these new Pokedex entries are really up for grabs in a few weeks, then Niantic is likely about to sell a ton of additional tickets to the big GO Fest event.

More details about GO Fest 2020 and its features, bonuses, and rewards will likely be arriving in the comings weeks as hype continues to build for the big event. For now, players should make sure they work through each of the free weekly challenges to earn the special rewards before the real GO Fest challenges kick off on July 25 and July 26.

As trainers continue working through all of these amazing events, they may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters and completing their Pokedex is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
