This past year, Pokemon GO experimented with Special Research events that required players to purchase a ticket to participate. It seems those experiments have been successful, as Niantic has announced yet another Pokemon GO ticketed Special Research event, this time featuring Galarian Mr. Mime and its evolved form, Mr. Rime. This marks both Pokemon's debut in Pokemon GO, and should help players better complete their Pokedex. Those interested in the Pokemon GO Galarian Mr. Mime Special Research event should note that it will take place between Friday, December 18 at 10:00am local time until Monday, December 21 at 8:00pm local time. To access the actual research tasks, players will need to purchase a ticket and open Pokemon GO between December 19 at 10:00am local time and December 20 at 8:00pm local time. Pokemon GO players will want to try to complete the Special Research tasks during this timeframe, but even those without a ticket will want to keep Pokemon GO handy. During the event, Cubchoo, Jynx, Spoink, Swinub, and Woobat will be attracted to Incense, and all players will have the chance to catch a shiny Cubchoo as well. This includes the Galarian Mr. Mime Special Resesarch of course, but they'll also get a medal, encounters with Alolan Vulpix, Chimecho, Jigglypuff, Jynx, Snorunt, and Whismur, a Mr. Mime Avatar post, and exclusive Field Research tasks that include even more Pokemon encounters.

By completing the Pokemon GO Galarian Mr. Mime Special Research, fans of the game will get a ton of other rewards as well. As they complete the Pokemon GO Galarian Mr. Mime Special Research tasks, they will unlock Incense, Rare Candies, 30 Ultra Balls, Premium Battle Passes, a Poffin, Galacial Lure Modules, three Super Incubators, and three Star Pieces. So not only does the $7.99 ticket give Pokemon GO players more tasks to complete, they will also get plenty of items to use as well.

Those who choose not to participate in the Pokemon GO Galarian Mr. Mime Special Research event shouldn't worry, however. There's a pattern of Niantic making the Pokemon featured in the ticketed Special Research events more widely available about a month after the event ends, so everyone should have the chance to catch it eventually.

Niantic is keeping the Pokemon GO events going strong to close out 2020 and lead into the new year. Pokemon GO is in its Season of Celebration event as well, with plenty more seasonal events in store for the months ahead as well.

Pokemon GO is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
