Pokemon GO players who have been collecting Field Research stamps every day since the feature went live should be reaching their next breakthrough tomorrow, April 19. However, thanks to some players exploiting a time zone trick with their phones, we already know what the April 19 Field Research rewards have in store.

Unfortunately for anyone hoping that the rewards would be something different this week, it looks like the Field Research rewards for the third week are the same as weeks 1 and 2. On the downside, this means that Pokemon GO players who have yet to add Articuno or Zapdos to their collection will still have some time to wait. On the brightside, those who have yet to catch Moltres will have another chance, and those that already have the fire-type legendary bird in their possession can use the extra candy to level up their Pokemon.

An encounter with the legendary Pokemon Moltres isn't the only thing Pokemon GO players have to look forward to tomorrow. Anyone with all seven stamps will also have a shot at unlocking some other rewards as well, including 2,000 stardust, three Rare Candies, 3,000 XP, five Ultra Balls, and five Pinap Berries.

Pokemon GO Moltres raid 80 players

Dedicated Pokemon GO players who have been playing the game consistently since launch may be disappointed that the Field Research rewards don't seem to be changing at all from one week to the next. However, it seems likely that Niantic will eventually rotate Moltres out for a different legendary Pokemon, like Articuno, Zapdos, or some of the other legendaries that are no longer available in raids. When exactly that will happen remains to be seen.

In the meantime, other players that have already completed the Special Research quest to catch Mew may be ready for some more story-based content. Presumably, the next Special Research quest will give players a shot at catching another mythical Pokemon, like the second-generation Celebi or maybe even the third-generation mythical Pokemon Deoxys. After all, datamining efforts have already discovered some code for Deoxys exists in the game.

Time will tell when Pokemon GO players will have a shot at a new Special Research quest or a new legendary Pokemon through the Field Research breakthrough rewards, but expect Niantic to share more information in the future.

Pokemon GO is available now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
