If someone wants to fully complete their Pokemon GO Pokedex, they will have to literally travel around the world, as there are some Pokemon exclusive to certain regions. While Niantic usually keeps these region exclusive Pokemon in the countries where they belong, it sometimes makes them available on a more global scale. That's exactly what it's doing with two region exclusives, but those interested will have to act fast.

Right now, Pokemon GO is in the midst of Pokemon GO Fest 2022, which fans can participate in if they purchase a ticket for $14.99. Buying a Pokemon GO Fest 2022 ticket entitles Pokemon GO players to a variety of perks and bonuses, including the chance to catch region exclusive Pokemon. Two region exclusive Pokemon are available to catch on day one of the Pokemon GO Fest 2022 festivities: Torkoal and Tropius.

Torkoal is usually exclusive to India and southeast Asia, whereas Tropius is usually only available in Africa. However, both Torkoal and Tropius are available for Pokemon GO players to catch today as part of Pokemon GO Fest as long as they have a ticket. Torkoal is part of the Plains Habitat, while Tropius is part of the Rainforest Habitat. At the time of this writing, the Plains Habitat has been cycled out and replaced by the Rainforest Habitat, but both will be featured again before the first day of Pokemon GO Fest 2022 is over. The event wraps up at 6pm local time, so fans should keep that in mind.

Pokemon Torkoal

Pokemon GO players don't have to worry about evolving Torkoal or Tropius, as neither one of them evolve. However, it's a rare occasion for Niantic to make region exclusive Pokemon available on a wide scale, and so it's a smart idea to catch as many as possible while they're still available. This way, Pokemon GO players can offer good trades if they ever come across someone with a Pokemon they need for their collection, or they can help their friends who missed out on the Pokemon GO Fest 2022 festivities better complete their Pokedex.

It's likely that Pokemon GO fans will have more opportunities to catch region exclusive Pokemon down the line, but it's not guaranteed. It's just as likely that fans will have to physically travel to the regions where these Pokemon are available if they want them for their collection, and so anyone interested who hasn't purchased a Pokemon GO Fest 2022 ticket may want to do so as soon as possible.
