Pokemon GO is known for hosting community days at least once a month, if not more; these events normally take place on the weekend. Players of the famous mobile game can get excited as there's another right around the corner. This guide will provide all the information players need to participate in Pokemon GO's May 2023 Fennekin Community Day.
The way community days work is that players who wish to take part in the event will be required to purchase a ticket. That ticket will then only be valid during the event, and they are nonrefundable, so players will want to be online at the right times. The ticket will be available in the in-game shop for $1 USD.
Fennekin Community Day Times
The Fennekin community day starts Sunday, May 21, 2023. The event will start at 2:00 p.m. local time and go until 5:00 p.m. local time. Players must be available wherever they are to get their money's worth out of their tickets. During this time, Fennekin will be appearing in the wild a lot more frequently.
If players aren't on at the time of the event, their tickets will be wasted and cannot be refunded or used for a different community day in the future. So if players want a chance to win the rewards or find the event Pokemon, they will want to set a reminder on their smartphone.

Can Fennekin Be Shiny?
The answer is yes. Fennekin comes in a Shiny that is more gray-cream than the bright yellow original. It also has some red ear fur that is a bit more fiery red than the bright orange. Shinys of any Pokemon are a lot rarer than their original counterpart. However, during the event, it is more likely to encounter a Shiny Fennekin.
If players end up catching a Fennekin, they can then work on leveling it up to its evolutions, Braxien and Delphox. Something to note is if players evolve Braixen during the event or during a five-hour grace period after it, they will get a Delphox that knows the Charged Attack Blast Burn move. Afterward, having a Braixen that knows Blast Burn evolve into Delphox during the event will get Delphox to learn the Charged Attack Mystical Fire.
