Pokemon GO players have been plagued by Battle Raid issues once again, but Niantic is hard at work on fixes for all of the current connectivity issues and in-game bugs. As yet another olive branch, it sounds like the developer will be extending access to Pokemon GO Ho-Oh raids for a little bit of extra time.

The legendary bird Ho-Oh only recently arrived as a level five Battle Raid boss in Pokemon GO, but players have already been racing around their towns trying to catch the rare creature. The plan was for Ho-Oh to have a short, two week span in Pokemon GO and disappear on December 12. According to a recent communication with Niantic Support, that may no longer be the case.

Here is the full conversation that a Redditor claims they had with part of the Niantic team:

If the screenshot is to be believed, then it sounds like an official update should be arriving soon about Ho-Oh's extended stay in the game. The community is still waiting for details on the upcoming holiday event, so Pokemon GO should be in for a very exciting wrap-up to 2017.

If Ho-Oh really is sticking around, we wouldn't be surprised to see his stay extended until just before the holiday event kicks off. Check back for updates and more details in the near future!

Pokemon GO is available now in Android and iOS devices in select regions.
