Pokemon GO recently kicked off its big Season of Celebration, which is meant to include a variety of different events and other activities for fans of the popular augmented reality mobile game to complete. This includes a special Kalos region event that will not only see Kalos region Pokemon appear frequently in the wild, but will also see Pokemon first introduced in the X and Y games make their way to the egg hatching pool.

The Pokemon GO Kalos region event begins Wednesday, December 2 at 10:00am local time, and will conclude on Tuesday, December 8 at 10:00pm local time. During this window, Pokemon GO players will be able to hatch Kalos region Pokemon from eggs. It's possible that some of the Kalos region Pokemon will stay in the Pokemon GO egg pool after the Kalos region event concludes on December 8, but fans of the game better get to walking if they want to be guaranteed the chance to hatch some of these creatures.

Here is how the Pokemon GO egg pool will change during the Kalos region event.

Niantic player complaints Reddit

2 km Eggs

  • Bunnelby
  • Fletchling
  • Litleo

5 km Eggs

  • Chespin
  • Fennekin
  • Froakie

10 km Eggs

  • Espurr
  • Noibat

One Pokemon GO egg type players may notice is absent is 7 km eggs. Pokemon GO's 7 km eggs are obtained by opening gifts from friends, but fans of the game haven't been happy with the selection recently. It seems adding some fresh Kalos region Pokemon to the Pokemon GO 7 km egg pool would've been a good way to address some fan complaints, but for now, the 7 km eggs remain untouched.

It's worth pointing out that these Kalos region Pokemon will be available in Pokemon GO through methods other than just hatching eggs. Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Bunnelby, Fletchling, Litleo, and Noibat are all having their wild encounter rates increased while the event is live. Additionally, Pokemon GO players in France will have the opportunity to catch Klefki and better fill out their Kalos region Pokedex. At the time of this writing, it's unclear if Niantic plans on releasing Klefki anywhere other than France.

Besides hatching Pokemon out of eggs and catching them in the wild, Pokemon GO players will have a third way of adding Kalos region Pokemon to their collection during the event. Espurr and Litleo will start appearing in 1-star raids while the Pokemon GO Kalos region event is live, so players may want to bust out some raid passes while they get started on their Kalos region Pokedex.

Pokemon GO is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
