Pokémon GO is gaining a reputation for providing several events for its players, but eventually, events must end. It is sad that Legendary Week is officially over, but as previously announced, its end initiates yet another event. This time, however, the event was determined by the legendary Pokémon GO players defeated more, and the corresponding legendary (Groudon, Kyogre, or Rayquaza) provided a special egg bonus.

When Pokémon GO announced this special egg event, it revealed that if players defeated Rayquaza more than Groudon and Kyogre, then Pokémon that preferred windy weather would be more likely to hatch from eggs. If not, then it would be Pokémon that prefer sunny or rainy weather. Now, the results are in, and players officially beat Rayquaza more than Groudon and Kygore.

To celebrate, Pokémon Go players will be enjoying double XP from now until March 16, in appreciation of the game’s numerous devoted players. Players can now also anticipate increased hatching rates for all Dragon-, Flying-, and Psychic-type Pokémon until then, which means that players who are a few candies short of obtaining a Dragonite during the last Community Day now have a higher chance to hatch a Dratini.

Moreover, it is also more likely that Pokémon that favor windy weather will appear in Raid Battles, alongside the legendary Rayquaza, who will appear in battles until March 16 as well. While some gamers are likely sad to see Groudon and Kyogre once again leave the raid roster, other members of the Pokemon GO community may be looking ahead to which gen 4 Pokémon will be the best for each type.

Considering this event ends on March 16, Pokémon GO players may wish to get the most they can out of hatching, catching, and battling with double XP. However, they won’t have to wait long for another event after March 16, as the Bulbasaur Community Day is scheduled to occur March 25. Players may not want to miss out on either event, as more Dragon-type Pokémon or a Vensaur with a special move is a very attractive hatch/catch. Good luck out there, trainers!

Pokémon GO is available now for Android and iOS devices.
