The holidays are finally here and it’s time to celebrate in Pokemon GO! The mobile AR game has a massive lineup of exciting events to help kick off the Season of Heritage and the winter holiday festivities.

The full Pokemon GO December events calendar is now live and players can find out what kind of events will be featured in the weeks leading up to the big Pokemon GO Holidays event. There are some amazing Battle Raid bosses appearing, but that’s just the start of the fun.

One of the most exciting things about this month is that the new season is kicking off. As players begin to learn everything they need to know about the Season of Heritage, they can also enjoy a lengthy list of other seasonal activities in the coming weeks...

Pokemon Spotlight Hours

In the month of December, Pokémon Spotlight Hour will take place every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, and each will spotlight a different Pokémon and a special bonus!

December 7: Electabuzz | 2× Transfer Candy

December 14: Magmar | 2× XP for evolving Pokémon

December 21: Snover | 2× Catch XP

December 28: Cubchoo | 2× Catch Candy

December Community Day

The final Community Day event of the year will be held on both Saturday, December 18, 2021, and Sunday, December 19, 2021. During the event, Pokémon featured throughout 2021’s Community Day events will be appearing more frequently in the wild. Additionally, Pokémon featured in 2020’s Community Day events will be hatching from Eggs and appearing in raids. December Community Day will be an awesome opportunity to catch any featured Pokémon you may have missed!

Season of Heritage

A new Season begins on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time! Embark on a journey inspired by the past as we run-up to Pokémon GO Tour: Johto. The Season of Heritage ends on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Swinub Incense Day

On Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Swinub will be attracted more frequently to Incense. Additionally, both Ice-type and Ground-type Pokémon will be attracted to Incense throughout the day.

Dragonspiral Descent

An event inspired by the Unova region’s Dragonspiral Tower will take place from Tuesday, December 7, 2021, to Sunday, December 12, 2021. More details to come!

Pokemon GO Holidays Part 1 and Part 2

The Pokemon GO Holidays event returns on Thursday, December 16, 2021, and runs until Friday, December 31, 2021! Look forward to costumed Pokémon, Ice-type Pokémon appearing more frequently in the wild, event-exclusive Field Research, winter-themed avatar items, and a bonanza of bonuses!
