The latest Pokemon GO APK teardown is here and, as expected, it's loaded with hints about what is to come during the Halloween festivities over the next few weeks. October has been jam-packed with events and exciting new features, like the mysterious new Strange Eggs, and the end of the month is sure to be full of even more excitement.

Although early press releases offered lots of teasers about the features and bonuses arriving during the event, there are sure to be some surprises, as well. Players who want to actually be surprised during the upcoming event may want to avoid the potential spoilers that follow...

As always, keep in mind that intel gained from datamines and APK teardowns are subject to change and none of these details have been confirmed by Niantic at this point. With that in mind, here is what the code is currently pointing towards for the next big update.

New Pokemon

The code suggests that Runerigus, the evolution of Galarian Yamask, is being added to the game. This doesn't necessarily mean that the Pokemon will be released during the Halloween event, but it certainly seems like a possibility.

New Gift Boxes

The contents of each box were not confirmed, but it looks like three spooky, scary gift boxes are being added to the game's shop.

Sableye Costume

The code also suggests that Sableye will be getting a costume this time around. For players who are getting tired of collecting Pikachu with a hundred different hats, this will be a nice change of pace.

New Moves

.V0347_MOVE_DARK_VOID

The above code suggests that Incinerate and Dark Void will be added to the potential move list for some number of Pokemon in the near future. Metagamers who know the franchise well likely recognize Dark Void as a move that is closely associated with Darkrai. This could be a hint that the new move set will be available for that Legendary the next time it returns to tier 5 Battle Raids.

The rest of the code went on to detail some new seasonal stickers and a lot of general quality of life improvements and other fixes. It should be pretty exciting to see these changes and additions roll out in the coming weeks as the next update goes live and as the seasonal Halloween event kicks off.

For now, Pokemon GO trainers should be able to head out into the world (or play from home) and continue catching the best Unova Pokemon in the game and getting closer to that complete Pokedex. Check back for more Pokemon GO updates closer to the event. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
