Pokemon GO's near constant stream of events has done a great job keeping players active and engaged during the last year or so. That trend isn't showing signs of slowing down any time soon and in addition to the upcoming March Community Day event, it sounds like Niantic is also planning another Equinox Event for fans of the mobile AR Pokemon game.

Although Pokemon GO hasn't officially announced an event surrounding the March Equinox just yet, but reliable dataminer Chrales is back to Twitter with some Field Research code that suggests at least a few quests related to the upcoming seasonal event. This time around it sounds like at least part of the festivities will focus on Bulbasaur, Chikorita, and other Grass-type Pokemon.

The focus on grass-types doesn't come as a big surprise, considering this equinox is associated with the beginning of spring. As trainers might expect, some community members are already speculating that the Leafeon evolution will become available with the start of the event, but there hasn't been any evidence leaning in that direction at this point.

There was no release date mentioned in the code that Chrales shared, but speculation is that the event would kick off on either March 20 or March 21. Pokemon GO sometimes likes to announce these sort of events at the last minute, so don't be surprised if an official announcement doesn't come until just a few days before the equinox takes place. At this point, that is all the information that is known about the upcoming event. It's possible that more details will leak ahead of time, so be sure to keep an eye out for additional hints about the upcoming bonuses or special spawns.

Be sure to check back for more news, updates, and guides as the incoming event approaches. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is currently available in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
