While cosmetic microtransactions are the talk of the town lately, we don't ever seem to mention that Pokémon GO has tons of them. But in all honesty, they're pretty cute. Today, we're going to be taking a look at ten of the cutest outfit items that Pokémon GO has to offer.

Though most people prefer to dedicate their energy to the act of catching these delightful creatures, no one says that one has to do so in a frumpy default outfit! From Magikarps eating your entire head to sensible turtlenecks, there's a lot to get into. Let's get right into the list.

10 Detective Pikachu Cap

This terrifying image features the iconic Detective Pikachu cap. Released for free (that's rare) as a tie-in promotion with the movie of the same name, this cap is the exact hat worn by Pikachu in the film.

So what if it doesn't match with 90% of the wardrobe of the GO trainer? You're here to catch Lillipups AND solve mysteries. We love a trainer that has more than one aspiration.

9 Team Turtleneck

You know what, winter is coming. Your trainer is going to be out here catching Snorunts, they're cold. Here's a chance for you to keep your trainer nice and warm whilst they go about becoming a Pokémon master.

The turtleneck comes in three different varieties, one for all of the three teams. This jacket really lets you accomplish everything at once. Catch some Pokémon, show some team pride, stay nice and cozy, truly the optimal gear for Pokémon catching in the winter.

8 Pikachu Onesie

Well, yeah absolutely. Why would you not want to catch a Pikachu while intimidating it into thinking that you're a very, very large version of it? While not the most aesthetically pleasing, it sure is cute.

This is also another great pick for the winter, as it allows you to be the maximum amount of comfy at all times. This one is just a 100% mood all of the time, so this should definitely be added to your wardrobe.

7 Mimikyu Backpack

While you're wearing the real thing over your entire body, why not wear the imposter on your back? As a Pikachu clone, it was only fair that Mimikyu gets added into the game as an accessory before as an actual Pokémon, duh.

This is one of the backpacks that you can wear in the game, and it really just seems entirely useless. How much could you actually fit into this thing? Beyond that, how are you ever going to find anything? Just like the onesie, it's a bit impractical for everyday use, but it sure does make a good accessory to stunt on everybody else with.

6 Candela's Jacket

All of the Team Leaders have their top available as an outfit choice in Pokémon GO. While all of them are nice options, let's be real, Candela's Jacket is the way to go. It's the type of business casual attire that all serious trainers need. However, there's a bit of a problem.

If you're not playing as Team Valor, you really can't wear this. Sure, it's powerful, but you can't just be out here committing treason against your team. Unfortunately for Instinct and Mystic players, this just isn't the way to go.

5 Litwick Cap

Say hello to cursed image No. 2! This hat is literally just the entirety of Litwick. Fun. Literally, how much of a mess would this be to wear in public? Covering one eye, far too thick to wear for more than a solid five seconds, a whole mess.

While impractical in just about every way possible, it's still kind of cute? You're subjecting your trainer to an absolute mess of a day when you have them wear this, but still. Who cares about them? We are here for one thing, and that is fashion, and fashion only.

4 Squirtle Hoodie

Yes, yes, the Generation One pandering is far too much nowadays, but still, how could you possibly say no to this adorable Squirtle Hoodie? While there are Charmander and Bulbasaur variants of this jacket, the Squirtle one really takes the cake.

Squirtle's little face on the top of the hood, it's precious. Plus, it's a nice color to wear with the rest of the wardrobe. Also, like we've been mentioning, winter is coming. Keep your trainer warm and happy with Squirtle's smiling little face.

3 Delibird Gloves

In a move that makes absolutely no sense but thank god it happened, we have Delibird gloves. The gloves are just Delibird's face on your hands, yeah sure why not? Delibird gloves are yet another sensible winter option, but they're also fantastic for Christmas.

You can help deliver presents while completely matching Santa's color scheme. The Delibird gloves are just another entry into the sublist that we've been keeping track of that include all of the completely impractical items. But, this is a cuteness list, so of course, they're ending up on the high end of things. They're fantastic.

2 Magikarp Hat

Look into those eyes. All three of them. Pain all around. In another move that really just needed to happen, we have the beautiful Magikarp hat. This hat is a wonderful one, and features Magikarp just swallowing you wholly, as it does.

It's depicted in the cap as right in the middle of the process, so we get to see nature take its course in this one. Wonderful. This is one of those that we got for free with the introduction of shiny Magikarp into the game, so wear this one to your heart's content. It is important to note that this item does not match with any other outfit. But that is okay!

1 Mewtwo Top

What is there that can't be said about the Mewtwo top? The fact that they gave us a crop top, the fantastic white and lavender color scheme, the asymmetrical sleeves, all of it. This shirt is absolutely fantastic, and really helps to channel the BAMF energy that the female trainer has always held inside of her.

Is there a male version of this one? None have been released to date. All we know is that the female version of the Mewtwo top is the cutest clothing item in the game.
