Pokemon GO's Community Day for March 2019 stars the third-generation grass-type Pokemon Treecko, giving fans a chance to add the entire shiny Treecko family to their collection. Anyone that has participated in past Pokemon GO Community Day events should know what to expect for the most part, but there is a twist with the start time that fans should be aware of.

Unlike past Pokemon GO Community Days, the start time for Treecko Community Day will be the same globally. The Pokemon GO Community Day March 2019 times are 3:00pm to 6:00pm local time on March 23, so players don't need to stress about time zones or anything like that. When it's 3:00pm, shiny Treecko will start spawning more frequently in the wild.

Highly increased spawn rates for Treecko and the chance to catch a shiny Treecko is the biggest reason to participate in the March 2019 Community Day for Pokemon GO. However, there will be other bonuses as well. As usual, lure modules will last for three hours during the event, and if players manage to evolve their Grovyle into a Sceptile during the event or within one hour after it ends, it will learn the exclusive move Frenzy Plant. So as long as players evolve Grovyle between 3:00pm and 7:00pm local time, they should have no trouble getting Sceptile with Frenzy Plant.

Another bonus for Pokemon GO's March 2019 Community Day is 4x incubator effectiveness. This means eggs will hatch four times faster than usual, giving players the opportunity to hatch a ton of eggs if they plan their day accordingly. This could help them get rare gen 4 baby Pokemon like Riolu, which is otherwise very hard to obtain.

Once Pokemon GO players wrap up the March 2019 Community Day, they will no doubt be looking to the future at what April's Community Day will have in store. Unfortunately, nothing official has been announced about what the April 2019 Community Day in Pokemon GO will be like, but fans should learn more in the coming weeks.

Pokemon GO is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
