Each month, Pokemon GO fans can look forward to a new Community Day. Community Days in Pokemon GO see one Pokemon given the spotlight, with their spawn rate dramatically increased and making it much easier for fans to catch a shiny variant. Niantic has now revealed the Pokemon that will be featured in the Pokemon GO February 2021 Community Day, and it's none other than Roselia.

Roselia is a Grass- and Poison-type Pokemon that first made its debut during Generation 3 in the Hoenn region. Roselia has been one of Pokemon GO's most common Pokemon since its introduction, so it seems like somewhat of an odd choice for a Community Day, but Niantic is sweetening the pot. If Pokemon GO players evolve a Roselia during the Community Day event (taking place Sunday, February 7 at from 11:00am to 5:00pm local time), they can get a version of Roserade that has the Fire-type Weather Ball attack for its Charged Attack and Bullet Seed for its Fast Attack.

Other bonuses will be live during the Pokemon GO February 2021 Community Day event. Niantic has teased that players will need to utilize the Pokemon GO snapshot feature for "a surprise," plus there will be event-exclusive Time Research to complete as well. Completing the Timed Research will get Pokemon GO players Sinnoh Stones, which can be used to evolve specific Pokemon and allow players to better-complete their Pokedex.

Pokemon GO players can also look forward to a special Roselia Community Day Box in the shop that will cost 1,280 PokeCoins and get them an Elite Fast TM, four Incense, four Super Incubators, and 30 Ultra Balls. Needless to say, these items will definitely come in handy for any Pokemon GO players trying to catch as many Roselia as possible during the Community Day event. Players can also purchase an exclusive Special Research called Stop and Smell the Roselia while the event is active as well, costing $1. Those that purchase a ticket for Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto by February 3 will get this Special Research at no extra charge.

And finally, there some other bonuses that Pokemon GO players can look forward to during the Roselia Community Day event, regardless of whether or not they buy anything. While the event is active, players will be able to take advantage of 1/4 hatch distance for Pokemon eggs, making it much easier to hatch them. Additionally, any Incense used during the event will last three hours, greatly increasing the time players can use them to try to lure in Pokemon.

Niantic ended its announcement of the Roselia Community Day for Pokemon GO by reminding players to adhere to the safety guidelines in their area. Pokemon GO players have been criticized for ignoring COVID-19 lockdown rules in various parts of the world, so hopefully that behavior doesn't continue.

Pokemon GO is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
