Pokemon GO is wrapping up its Season of Alola soon, with an End-of-Season Special Research scheduled to go live on Wednesday, May 25. The Pokemon GO Season of Alola will officially conclude on June 1, and will be replaced by a new season around that time. The next Pokemon GO season has not been revealed by Niantic, but the developer has given fans a glimpse at what they can expect from the popular mobile augmented reality game this summer.

While hardcore Pokemon GO fans may be more interested in catching new Pokemon and completing Special Research tasks, there's still a lot to be said about the game's monthly Community Day events. For the uninitiated, Pokemon GO Community Day events are special occasions where Niantic dramatically increases the spawn rate of a certain Pokemon within a certain window. There are many other bonuses that Pokemon GO players can enjoy during Community Day events as well, including an increased chance at catching a shiny.

The recent Alolan Geodude Community Day brought an end to the Season of Alola Community Day events, but Niantic has more Community Day events planned for this summer. As revealed by Niantic, there will be three Community Day events in the game's next season of content, one for June, another for July, and a final one for August.

Upcoming Pokemon GO Community Day Event Dates

  • Saturday, June 25, 2022
  • Sunday, July 17, 2022
  • Saturday, August 13, 2022

The Pokemon GO Community Day dates for next season are Saturday, June 25, Sunday, July 17, and Saturday, August 13. Niantic stopped short of revealing more specific details about the upcoming Pokemon GO Community Day events, but fans should be able to expect them to play out in the same way that the others have so far. There may be slight tweaks to the exact times they take place or their duration, but Pokemon GO fans should otherwise have a pretty good idea of what to expect.

As for the Pokemon that Pokemon GO players will be able to catch during these Community Day events, that's anyone's guess. Niantic likely won't reveal the June Community Day Pokemon until next month rolls around, and the same goes for the July and August Pokemon. It's also possible that Niantic will host another Community Day Classic event where it features a Pokemon that's already had a Community Day celebration, but that remains to be seen.

With Pokemon GO Fest right around the corner, there should be plenty for Pokemon GO players to look forward to in the near future regardless.
