Niantic has confirmed the Pokemon GO Community Day Classic in November will spotlight one of the fan-favorite Pokemon featured in Pokemon Red and Blue. Gen 1 Pokemon have fittingly been part of Pokemon GO since Niantic first released the AR mobile game back in 2016, but fans have still been clambering to evolve more of the first 151 Pokemon, including the one being celebrated in November.Since the original Pokemon anime introduced a giant Dragonite in "Mystery at the Lighthouse," and Pokemon Red and Blue made the Pokemon particularly powerful, fans have tried to get their hands on the Dragon-type Pokemon. With this support fueling Pokemon GO players to try to evolve their Dratinis and Dragonairs in order to compete with friends that already acquired the coveted Dragonite, some trainers have been requesting that Niantic increase spawn rates for the trio of Gen 1 Dragons. Niantic has confirmed that Pokemon GO Community Day Classic next month will revolve around Dratini and its final evolution.RELATED: Pokemon GO is About to Become More Expensive for Some PlayersStarting at 2:00 PM local time on November 5 until 5:00 PM, Pokemon GO trainers will be able to encounter far more Dratini in the wild, with an increased chance of seeing a Shiny version. Pokemon GO players that are able to evolve their Dragonair before 7:00 PM on the latest Community Day Classic will get a Dragonite that knows the powerful Charged Attack Draco Meteor. Draco Meteor uses 150 power in both gym, raider, and trainer battles, and it decreases the Dragonite's attack stat in trainer battles specifically.

Beyond being able to catch Dratini more easily and thus making the track to a fully evolved Dragonite a lot quicker, Niantic will be introducing Special Research for the Community Day Classic that further spotlights the Dragon-type Gen 1 Pokemon. Pokemon GO fans that choose to buy the Special Research story tickets will only be set back $1, and they can gift the same add-on to other players of Great Friend or higher status for the same price. Accompanying the event ticket is a boost to Stardust received upon catching a Pokemon, increased duration to Lure Modules, and improved Incense that will further attract Pokemon to trainers.

Although Dratini has been in Pokemon GO since the beginning, many fans of the Niantic AR game have expressed their enthusiasm for November's Community Day Classic. Some players have requested that future Pokemon GO Community Day Classic days revolve around Beldum, Chespin, Larvitar, Magikarp, Mimikyu, Rhyhorn, and Swinub.

Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS.
