Fans of Pokemon's sixth generation are able to start catching Pokemon from the Kalos region in Pokemon GO. While not all of the Pokemon have been implemented for players in-game, players do have access to the starters alongside a handful of others.

The three starters that have been added into Pokemon GO are Chespin, a Grass-type, Fennekin, a Fire-type, and Froakie, a Water-type. Each of these Pokemon has their own respective fanbases, but Fennekin is one of the more popular fire-type starters out there.

Like all other starter Pokemon, Fennekin is part of a three-stage evolutionary line. Its first evolution is Braixen, which is also a pure Fire-type Pokemon. Fennekin's final evolution Delphox, however, is a dual Fire and Psychic-type Pokemon.

There are two main ways to find Fennekin in Pokemon GO. The first is to find it normally among the other Pokemon in the wild. Players won't be able to find its evolutions Braixen and Delphox outside, so players will need to evolve a Fennekin if they want these monsters.

In order the raise the chances of finding Fennekin, players are recommended to use an incense or a lure at a nearby PokeStop in order to increase spawning. Other than that, its down to luck whether or not the adorable fox Pokemon will spawn.

Another method of finding Fennekin is to hatch one from an egg. Fennekin has a chance to hatch from any 5 km egg that was received after the start of the current Kalos event. Players will also have a chance of finding the two other Kalos starters in these 5 km eggs.

While catching Fennekin will be a big goal for many fans of the fire starter, it will also be an eventual goal for players participating in the Kalos Celebration Research Tasks. This is due to part four of these tasks requiring players to catch a Fennekin to move forward. Players who complete this task will be rewarded with 30 Mega Charizard Energy.

After catching or hatching a Fennekin, its best possible Pokemon GO moveset is having Ember for its fast move and Flamethrower for its charge move. After evolving into Braixen, this best moveset will remain the same from when it was a Fennekin. However, after evolving into Delphox, the best moveset will have it knowing Fire Spin for its fast move and Psychic for its charge move.

Pokemon GO is available now on the App Store and Google Play.
