Pokemon GO's first Community Day Classic will occur on January 22, 2022, from 2pm to 5pm local time, and it sets its sights on Bulbasaur. At the center of the Bulbasaur Community Day Classic is an event-exclusive Special Research story, which unfolds across four steps. For those players that would like to know more about Pokemon GO's Bulbasaur Community Day Classic Special Research story, a complete list of its tasks and rewards can be found in this guide.

In preface of providing that list, it is important to note that Pokemon GO players will need an Event Ticket if they hope to take on the Bulbasaur Community Day Classic Special Research. Fans that have participated in Community Days in the past will be quite familiar with this requirement, as it is standard for accessing event-exclusive Special Research stories, and the ticket can be purchased from the in-game Shop for $0.99 USD.

The tasks and rewards that make up the Bulbasaur Community Day Classic Special Research story are very much in line with the offerings from other recent Community Days, and they are thus unlikely to surprise Pokemon GO players that have experience with these type of events. The exception is the Mega Energy that is awarded throughout Step 4, as those rewards are typically reserved for things like Berries and XP. For some fans, this change alone will be enough to convince them to buy an Event Ticket.

One final thing to mention about the Bulbasaur Community Day Classic event is that Ivysaurs that are evolved into Venusaurs, and Venusaurs that are caught, before 7pm local time will have Frenzy Plant as an Exclusive Move. A Venusaur equipped with this Charge Attack is an extremely powerful force in PvP in PoGO, and players that do not already have access to one should not miss out on this opportunity. Fortunately, the Bulbasaur Community Day Classic Special Research story makes it very easy to obtain a Venusaur with Frenzy Plant.
