Pokemon GO is one of the most popular Pokemon games out there, and it seems Niantic and Nintendo are planning to capitalize on that popularity with the upcoming Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl event. This event will be arriving in two parts, one dedicated to Brilliant Diamond and one dedicated to Shining Pearl. Both sections will bring a variety of new costumed Pokemon and other bonuses to Pokemon GO players around the world. A Collection Challenge will task players with capturing every new costumed Pokemon in exchange for 1,000 XP, 3,000 Stardust, and an encounter with Froslass.

The Pokemon GO Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl event is scheduled to run from Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. local time. Players will be able to take advantage of 1/2 Incubator Distance and 1/3 Super Incubator Distance bonuses, collect special versions of the Sinnoh starter trio wearing Dawn and Lucas' hats, and purchase event-themed Avatar Items, Stickers, and Bundles throughout the duration. The outfits will include a Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup Costume, as well as the Sinnoh outfit set. Bundle fans will be able to purchase an Event Box containing 20 Poke Balls and one Sinnoh Stone, as well as a Great Box containing three Super Incubators, two Incubators, and one Lure Module. Budew, Bonsly, Happiny, Mime Jr., and Riolu will also be hatching from 7km eggs globally throughout the event.

All three levels of Raids will be overhauled to allow for some classic Sinnoh Pokemon to take the spotlight. Cranidos, Drifloon, Bronzor, and Gible will all be appearing in one-star raids during this time period. Tyranitar, Lopunny, Drapion, Toxicroak, and Gallade will be showing their faces in three-star raids, and five-star raids will see the addition of Cresselia. Meanwhile, Mega Raids will feature Mega Lopunny. All Cresselia caught during this portion of the event will know the attack Grass Knot.
