Usually Pokemon GO Battle Raid fans are focused on Legendary and Mega bosses, but tier three challenges shouldn't be overlooked. The lower tier Battle Raids can often be solo'd and offer an easier path to completing raid-relates Field Tasks in addition to providing some powerful item and encounter rewards.

Although Tier 3 bosses are possible to solo, that is only the case if players understand the boss' weaknesses and assemble a strategic counter roster. Each Pokemon has its own strengths and weaknesses and part of preparing for an effective Battle Raid means studying those weaknesses and forming a respectable counter roster. Players who are ready to face off against Breloom have one very important double weakness to keep in mind as they assemble their team.

Breloom's Grass- and Fighting-type pairing gives players a handful of weaknesses as options, including one very important 2x weakness to Flying-type moves. Although tier 3 Battle Raids aren't as challenging as Legendary and Mega showdowns, trainers may still want to take the time to spend some Stardust, Candy, and Elite TMs to get everything in order before the fight.

BreloomBreloom Weaknesses

This tier 3 Battle Raid boss is a Steel- and Flying-type, which means that Breloom has a 2x weakness to Flying-type and is weak against Fire–, Psychic-, Fairy-, Poison-, and Ice-type moves.

Breloom Resistances (Avoid These!)

Breloom is resistant against Water-, Electric-, Grass-, Ground-, Rock-, and Dark-type attacks. Players should avoid putting Pokemon reliant on those move types in their lineup.

Assembling a counter roster based on those suggestions should be all it takes to defeat Breloom in tier three Battle Raids. Be sure to stick to the recommended counter types and enter the battle with enough allies around to help out and earn that one attempt victory. High level players with the best counters can technically solo this tier three raid boss, but players who want to play it safe should enter the fight with one or two friends instead to secure a successful battle.
