Pokemon GO players have had quite a lot on their plates as of late. The game's third season, The Season of Discovery, began earlier this month, introducing new Raid Bosses, new Pokemon appearing in the wild, and a new Mega Raid system, rotating one Mega Pokemon in Mega Raids at a time. Earlier this month, Pokemon GO also held the long-awaited Gible Community Day, pleasing many fans.

Just last week, the game held its A Very Slow Discovery event, which put the spotlight on Slowpoke, Slowbro, their Galarian forms, as well as Mega Slowbro. The event featured many other slow Pokemon such as Gulpin and Spoink, and now, Pokemon GO's next event will focus on another Pokemon that is often seen as somewhat of a meme in the series: Bidoof.

Earlier today, Pokemon GO officially announced the Bidoof Breakout event. The event will run from June 25 at 10am local time to July 1 at 8pm local time. Throughout the course of the event, more and more Bidoof will start to appear in the wild, with some even having access to attacks Bidoof cannot normally learn. Additionally, players will be happy to know that Shiny Bidoof will make its Pokemon GO debut during the Bidoof Breakout event.

In addition to appearing in the wild, Bidoof will appear in Raid battles, as well as in special encounters for completing event-exclusive Field Research. It seems that the moves known by Bidoof caught during the Bidoof Breakout event will differ depending on the day, as Bidoof with the move Shadow Ball can be caught on June 25, Bidoof with Thunderbolt can be caught on June 27, and Bidoof with the Ice Beam attack can be caught on June 29. Players will be able to use a Charged TM during the event to teach Bidoof these special moves, and Elite Charged TMs will allow them to do so after the event, as well.

Any Bidoof evolved during the Bidoof Breakout event will become a Bibarel with the move Hyper Beam. Shadow Bidoof will also appear in Pokemon GO in special Team GO Rocket encounters during the event. Special Bidoof Gift stickers will also be made available when players spin PokeStops and open Gifts from their in-game friends.

Special Catch XP bonuses will also increase throughout the duration of the Bidoof Breakout event. Players can earn double Catch XP on June 25 and 26, triple Catch XP on June 27 and 28, and quadruple Catch XP on June 29 and 30. More details on the event will be revealed on June 28.
