Pokemon GO: Best Team Rocket Leader Counters

Pokemon GO trainers are in for a busy fall this year. Now that many trainers have wrapped up their Colossal Discovery Special Research, it's time to move on to the next exciting event. The series of leaks about an upcoming Team Rocket invasion seem to have been true and trainers around the world are already reporting encounters with the big bad leaders of the infamous organization.

As the conflict with Team Rocket grows, Pokemon GO trainers should expect some incoming clashes with the Rocket team leaders and, eventually, a battle against the leader of the whole evil organization: Giovanni! But first trainers need to battle through the three team leaders of Rocket: Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra. Now that the event seems to be going live, it sounds like this there will be plenty to do and give players a break from catching the best Unova region Pokemon for a while.

Consider yourselves warned, trainers! Players who don't mind some matchup spoilers can read ahead to see which Pokemon we recommend taking in to battle against each of the Team Rocket leaders.

Keep in mind that each leader always starts with one predictable Pokemon and then the second and third are randomly selected from a small pool of options. Based on those possibilities, it's easy to come up with an ideal roster against each villain and win the battles without too much trouble.
