As trainers ring in the new year, Team GO Rocket is getting ready to cause more mayhem in the world of Pokemon GO. The new month brings new team possibilities for each member, including Team GO Rocket's Sierra.
To find Sierra, players will have to defeat Team GO Rocket Grunts at invaded Pokestops and collect six "Mysterious Components." These can be used to construct the Rocket Radar, which leads to Sierra, Cliff, and Arlo's location in the vicinity.
Sierra's pool of Pokemon is pretty straightforward but can be difficult to counter since they are different types. So for Pokemon GO fans looking to assemble a team to take Sierra down, here are suggestions for Pokemon to bring into battle.
First Pokemon
Sierra's first Pokemon is always her trusty female Nidoran. Nidoran is a Poison-type Pokemon that is weak to both Ground and Psychic-type attacks. Some good options are either Gallade with Confusion and Psychic, or Rhyperior with Mud-Slap, and Rock Wrecker is also a good choice.
Second Pokemon
Sierra's next Pokemon possibility consists of either Beedrill, Vileplume, or Slowbro.
Beedrill is a bug and Poison-type, which means Fire, Flying, Psychic, and Rock-type moves are super effective against it. Some good options are either Charizard with Fire Spin and Overheat or Rhyperior with Mud-Slap and Rock Wrecker.
Vileplume is Grass and Poison-type, which means Fire, Ice, Flying, and Psychic moves are super effective against it. Some good options are Chandelure with Fire Spin and Overheat, or Mewtwo with Psycho Cut and Psystrike.
Slowbro is a Water and Psychic-type Pokemon, which means Bug, Dark, Electric, Grass, and Ghost types attack is super effective against it. Some good options are Banette with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball or Magnezone with Spark and Wild Charge.
Third Pokemon
The possibilities for Sierra's third Pokemon are either Houndoom, Marowak, or Nidoqueen.
Houndoom is a Dark and Fire-type Pokemon, which means that Fighting, Ground, Rock, and Water-type moves are super effective against it. Some good options are Conkeldurr with Counter and Dynamic Punch or Kingler with Bubble and Crabhammer.
Marowak is a Ground-type Pokemon, which means Grass, Ice, and Water-type moves are super effective against it. Some good options are Mamoswine with Powder Snow and Avalanche or Gyrados with Dragon Breath and Aqua Tail.
Lastly, Nidoqueen is a Ground and Poison-type Pokemon. This means Ground, Ice, Psychic, and Water-type moves are super effective against it. Some good options are Garchomp with Mud Shot and Earthquake or Lugia with Dragon Tail and Future Sight.
