Pokemon GO players have a lot to expect for July and the rest of the summer season in 2021. During this time, players are still able to challenge the various grunts and leaders of Team GO Rocket. This can net players valuable items and various Shadow Pokemon in need of purification.

Team GO Rocket is still running under the main command of its three leaders and its boss for Pokemon GO players to find. One of these challenging trainers is Cliff. Players can challenge him or one of the other leaders after getting a Rocket Radar item.

Cliff will only use three Pokemon within a single battle, but the matter of which Pokemon he uses will be different in each encounter. This means that Cliff's first Pokemon will always be the same, but his second Pokemon will be one out of three possible Pokemon. The same goes for Cliff's third Pokemon. The only way to know for sure which Pokemon Cliff will use is by challenging him and losing after seeing all of his Pokemon. By rematching him within the same encounter, Cliff will continue to use the same team he used previously.

Cliff's First Pokemon - Seedot

As previously stated, Cliff's first Pokemon will always remain the same. This Pokemon is Seedot, a pure Grass-type Pokemon that is weak to Fire, Flying, Poison, Bug, and Ice-type moves. It additionally resists damage from Water, Grass, Electric, and Ground-type moves.

Seedot is Cliff's weakest Pokemon, making it a breeze to deal with in general. Those who want to bulldoze right through it though are recommended to use:

Galarian Darmanitan - Ice Fang and Avalanche

Reshiram - Fire Fang and Overheat

Chandelure - Fire Spin and Overheat

Unovan Darmanitan - Fire Fang and Overheat

Cliff's Possible Second Pokemon - Poliwrath, Kingler, and Hariyama
