The October 2020 Team GO Rocket Event is currently active in Pokemon GO. It will be running from October 12 at 1:00 p.m. PDT to October 19 at 10:00 p.m. PDT. This event has updated the Pokemon team composition of various Team GO Rocket members, as well as added various bonuses.

One of the prominent new additions this event has brought to Pokemon GO is Strange Eggs. These eggs have bright red spots and require 12 kilometers of walking in order to hatch, but this hatch requirement is shortened to three kilometers during the active event period.

While these Strange Eggs will be around and up for grabs after this event, now is the best time to pick them up. This is due to the aforementioned hatch requirement, and it being far more easy to find them on the whole.

Strange Eggs can be found by defeating any of the Team GO Rocket Admins in battle, either Sierra, Cliff, or Arlo. Players will need to have at least one empty space in their Egg inventory, but the Pokemon inside the egg is not dependent on which admin is defeated.

Pokemon Vullaby

As of their introduction, only four Pokemon are known to hatch from Strange Eggs in Pokemon GO. They are:

Larvitar is a dual Rock and Ground-type Pokemon that can evolve into Pupitar with 25 Larvitar candies. Pupitar is also a dual Rock and Ground-type Pokemon that can evolve into Tyranitar with 100 Larvitar candies. Tyranitar is a dual Rock and Dark-type Pokemon capable of very powerful moves in PvP battles.

Scraggy is a dual Dark and Fighting-type Pokemon from the Unova region. It can evolve into Scrafty, which is also a dual Dark and Fighting-type, when fed 50 Scraggy candies.

Trubbish is a pure Poison-type Pokemon also from the Unova region like Scraggy. By feeding it 50 Trubbish candies, it will evolve into Garbodor, which is a pure Poison-type Pokemon as well.

Finally, Vullaby has been introduced with this event, and its design is fitting for a Pokemon appearing in Strange Eggs. It is a dual Dark and Flying-type Pokemon that evolves into Mandibuzz after being fed 50 Vullaby candies. Mandibuzz is also a dual Dark and Flying-type. It is possible that other Pokemon may hatch from Strange Eggs before or after the end of this current event, but these four are the only ones officially announced.
