Pokemon GO players have plenty to keep themselves busy this summer. Between nonstop events, a rotating list of Raid Bosses, and the occasional break to log on to Wizards Unite; there's hardly enough time in the day for mobile AR game enthusiasts. The latest opportunity that is too good to pass up comes in the form of a series of special Mewtwo Raid events. Not only will Mewtwo be available as a level 5 raid, instead of its usual EX placement, but it will also be a new armored look for the iconic Legendary.

Trainers will have the chance to battle and catch armored Mewtwo during special raid hours on July 10, 17, and 24. During those windows, Pokemon GO players will want to make sure they have an ideal battle roster ready so that they can quickly take down the Armored Mewtwo and move on to the next Gym. With that in mind, it's a good time to revisit your Mewtwo counter roster and make sure it is up-to-date.

Armored Mewtwo fights are expected to play out exactly like fights against regular Mewtwo. That means that the Psychic-type will best countered by Bug-, Dark-, and Ghost-types. It's been a while since Mewtwo Raids were in rotation, so many trainers will likely want to make a few adjustments to the their old saved Rosters.

Be sure to use some Stardust, Candy, and TMs to prepare a powerful roster with some combination of these Pokemon. Luckily, Pokemon like Giratina, Gengar, and Tyranitar have been pretty important in recent Battle Raids as well, so many trainers may have already invested resources in a very similar Roster that can be reused for this fight.

Be sure to check back in the comings days for more Pokemon GO news, updates, and strategy guides. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
