March is coming to a close pretty soon, which means Pokemon GO fans will need to start preparing for the events that Niantic has planned for the mobile augmented reality game during April 2019. As always, the upcoming month is going to feature a Community Day event for players to take part in. The one for April is scheduled to occur on April 13, 2019 and it will feature the bipedal, blue, reptilian Gen 3 Dragon-type Pokemon dubbed Bagon.

Much like with previous Community Days in Pokemon GO, April 2019's Community Day will only last for three hours, with the event scheduled to take place during the time frame of 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM local time. There will also be bonuses that can be taken advantage of, with Lure Modules expected to last three hours for the duration of the event, and with there being three times as much Catch XP as usual.

Of course, there are going to be some details about Pokemon GO's April 2019 Community Day that will remain unknown for a few more weeks until the actual event itself arrives, with Bagon's exclusive Community Day move currently being a mystery. That said, though, some are speculating that should players evolve Bagon into Shelgon and then its final form of Salamence that they will be able to learn "Fly".

Niantic's decision to feature Bagon for April 2019's Community Day in Pokemon GO shows the developer's choice to offer a non-starter this time around. For those unaware, the Community Day for March 2019 featured the Generation 3 Grass-type starter, Treecko.

With Bagon appearing a lot more frequently in the wild during April 2019's Community Day in Pokemon GO, it will be interesting to see just how many Trainers take part in the forthcoming event. At any rate, we will simply have to wait and see if the Gen 3 Dragon-type being featured will be popular with the player base as a whole.

Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS devices.
