Earlier this week, Pokemon GO developer Niantic surprised many by announcing that Alolan forms of Pokemon would soon be added to the game. The company teased some of these Alolan forms with a promotional image for the update, leaving fans speculating on exactly which Alolan versions of Kanto characters would be made available. But it seems that there's no more need for that speculation anymore, as the full list of Alolan forms appears to have leaked.

After Niantic rolled out the 0.105.0 update (on Android) the Pokemon GO community began to dig into it, looking at hidden files for content that is not yet officially available in the game. The full list is screenshotted and is available below but a handful of those mentioned are as follows: Alola Geodude, Alola Meowth, Alola Persian, Alola Sandshrew, Alola Golem, Alola Diglett, Alola Dugtrio, Alola Ninetales, and Alola Vulpix.

The game data mine also leaked the rainbow weather system. Players have already noticed rainbows on the game's skyline and there is currently discussion within the Pokemon GO community that Kanto Pokemon will show their Alolan forms when rainbows appear. That's a highly specific weather condition and so it would make the Alolan forms somewhat rare if that is indeed the case.

The update also appears to include quality of life improvements for the game. These include the ability to apply items directly to a selected Pokemon, an easier way of navigating to a Gym in order to feed Pokemon berries, and more detailed explanations for the game's various error codes. While these features aren't as substantial as the addition of Alolan forms, they will be welcomed by the millions of people who play the game each month.

With there being so many questions about Alolan forms, including the aforementioned details about how they will appear, fans will be hoping that they have the full details about the new characters when they arrive. Niantic is known for its fun surprises (including unexpected shiny Pokemon), but fans will likely want to understand exactly how to find the characters so that they don't waste their time trying ludicrous methods in order to catch 'em all.
