Last weekend, Pokemon GO added two additional Alolan variants with the first appearances of Alolan Geodude and Diglett. The pair can be found in the wild, though they aren't nearly as common as Alolan Rattata when it first appeared in the mobile AR game. Since their release, fans have been wondering if the new pair will also appear in the 7km eggs and it seems we now have confirmation of this.

Multiple Pokemon GO players have taken to Reddit and provided screenshots to show proof that both Geodude and Diglett are now hatching from the 7km eggs that can be collected by opening Gifts from Friends. This is definitely exciting news for players who were unable to find the pair out in the wild during the past week, but it also further expands the range of possible hatches from 7km, making it even harder to get those elusive Alolan Vulpix hatches.

Here's a look at a few screenshots confirming the hatches...

At this point, the community still needs to gather more data before we can say what rarity the Digett and Geodude hatches fall into. The news has been met with mostly positive responses, but players who haven't been lucky enough to hatch a single Vulpix yet aren't thrilled. This could make that search take even longer.

The slow rollout of the Alolan variants has been doing a great job keeping players engaged and active throughout the summer. As July comes to a close, we should start to learn more about what events will be around the corner in August and in early fall. The release of the rest of the Alola variants seems like it will definitely be a part of those plans.

Until then, good luck out there, trainers.

Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
