Although Pokemon GO Adventure Week hasn't exactly been explicitly confirmed yet, there have been enough hints to guarantee that the event is on its way later this month. Last year's Pokemon GO Adventure Week took place from May 18 - May 25 and all the signs suggest this year's won't be far behind.

2017's Adventure Week saw an increase in Rock-types, along with several other in-game bonuses. According to an analysis of the game's source code, it sounds like this year's event will also take advantage of the new Field Research feature to throw in some event-themed quests.

Pokemon GO Hub spotted and pointed out the code that references a handful of Adventure Week quests. Here's a look at the tasks that players will likely be tackling later this month...

“Adventure Week: Hatch {0} eggs.”

“Adventure Week: Earn {0} Candy walking with your Buddy”

“Adventure Week: Spin {0} PokéStops you haven’t visited before”

“Adventure Week: Evolve an Omanyte or Kabuto.”

The quests seem to be in theme with adventuring and focus on traveling, going new places, and evolving two pokemon that may end up having increased spawn rates during the event. It will be exciting to see what kind of rewards these limited time Field Research assignments have in store for players.

Many players also have their fingers crossed that this event will continue the trend of the last few and introduce some new shiny pokemon. Niantic should be posting details about the event soon, so we'll update as soon as there is something official to share.

Pokemon GO is currently available in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
