Pokemon GO fans delighted in the news that with a new feature called Adventure Sync, players would soon no longer have to keep the game open while walking. Now, the first peek at what players can expect from this feature has been revealed online.

The reveal comes from Chrales, one of the leading Pokemon GO community dataminers. Chrales dug through the game's most recent APK and revealed multiple screens that display what the process is like to link a Google Fit account with Pokemon GO on Android. Players will be able to toggle Adventure Sync on or off by pulling up Pokemon GO's settings and choosing to enable the option.

The menu for Adventure Sync reveals some interesting information about what players can expect from the function. Adventure Sync will import walking data from the user's fitness app, keeping track of steps taken, distance walked, and even calories burned. The player will also be able to view these statistics, as well as a breakdown of how much Pokemon candy was collected and which Pokemon eggs were hatched during their walk by viewing their player profile in-game. There also appears to be a shortcut to directly access the player's eggs from the Adventure Sync screen, which should allow for quickly adding new eggs into recently emptied incubators.

Players will also be rewarded at the end of the week based upon how much they walked during that time. Although the rewards themselves aren't known at this time, players can strive to reach the 5km, 25km, and 50km thresholds to unlock all the rewards for the week. Players who already walk regularly to play Pokemon GO will likely meet these thresholds easily, but by offering smaller goals, even sedentary players will have the opportunity to benefit when tracking their daily walking.

The addition of Adventure Sync to Pokemon GO should make it much easier to farm candy and hatch eggs, as players will be able to input their walks from all the hours of the day that they can't actively play the game. With Generation 4 Pokemon gradually making their way to Pokemon GO in waves, gamers will definitely benefit from this new functionality as soon as it becomes available.

Pokemon GO is available now for mobile devices.
